UPDATED PAYMENT INFORMATION:
- CASH: Cash payments may be made in the office at City Hall during business hours.
- CHECK: Check payments can be made in the office during business hours, via mail, or in the secure payment drop box at the northwest corner of the City Hall parking lot. NO CASH PAYMENTS IN DROP BOX.
- DEBIT/CREDIT CARD: For security purposes, City Hall will no longer be taking payments over the phone. If you would like to pay by phone, there are two new options:
- Call to Pay (877) 792-1143 (Step-by-step instructions can be found below under Payment Instructions)
- Text to Pay (877) 822-0966
- ONLINE: Municipal Online Payments (one-time, scheduled, and autopay options are available online)
- The QR code on your bill will take you directly to the payment website.
- BANK DRAFT: Monthly recurring automatic payments can be set up in the office with a voided check.
Please note that you will need your NEW account number for web and phone/text-based payments.

Residential water is billed a basic charge of $64.45 per month. Water usage is billed at $1.03 per thousand gallons. Residential sewer is billed at a flat $52.75 per month. Water meters are read every other month, March through November. You will be billed for water usage in addition to your basic bill on each of the read months. Commercial sewer rates vary according to winter water usage. The amount billed includes a utility tax of 20% calculated on the gross operating income of the water and sewer utilities.
Please make sure all garbage is bagged and securely tied before placing in garbage receptacle. If your garbage toter lid is over-filled ("Anything not completely inside your receptacle" per
CDSI's guidelines) on pickup day, you will be charged $3.30 for extra garbage. Extra bags, boxes, or cans will be picked up for $3.30 each, if placed near your can on pickup day. Larger items may be picked up at an additional cost. Please call City Hall to arrange this. The amount billed includes a utility tax of 20% calculated on the gross operating income of the garbage utilities.
All irrigation systems (including lawn sprinkler systems) MUST be tested annually by a certified backflow tester BEFORE turning on. A list of certified backflow testers is available to download

In the event of a water or sewer service emergency occurring outside business hours or during the weekend, please call MACC dispatch at (509) 762-1160. MACC will contact the appropriate city personnel to help.
